Summary 2024
In the
third (final) implementation
stage, all activities planned in the project "KLATHRON
- Clathrate hydrates for
CCUS" were
completed:
Report
on methods and models used in clathrate-containing systems.
Methodology
for modeling clathrate-containing
systems.
A working procedure was created and validated for
the experimental installation whose main component is an autoclave, which was
completed with a circulator operating in a wide range of temperatures
(-50…+200°C) and with a syringe pump which operates up to a maximum of 690
bar.
Part of the results obtained
in this stage were communicated at the international conferences EMSF 2024, ESAT 2024, Thermodynamics 2024, and
RICCCE 2024, and were
published in Fluid Phase
Equilib. and J.
Chem. Eng. Data and
will be sent for publication in J. Supercrit. Fluids..
A workshop for the dissemination of the project results
will be organized by the end of the
stage.
Summary 2023
In the
second stage of implementation, all activities planned within the project
"KLATHRON - Clathrate hydrates for CCUS" were
completed:
New relevant data were collected from the literature
that were completed in the existing database within
the LATTP research group.
New systems were selected to be investigated both
experimentally and by modelling and isothermal liquid-vapor equilibrium data,
critical curves and/or liquid phase densities were determined for several
binary systems.
A working procedure was created and validated for
the experimental installation whose main component is an autoclave, which was
completed with a circulator operating in a wide range of temperatures
(-50…+200°C) and with a syringe pump which operates up to a maximum of 690
bar.
Part of the
results obtained in this stage were communicated at the PPEPPD 2023
international conference and were published in the journal J. Supercrit. Fluids and will be submitted for
publication to J. Chem. Eng. Data and J. Supecrit. Fluids.
The PhD
student, Mihaela Ioniţă, member of the research team finalized her
PhD Thesis and had her public presentation on September 20, 2023.
Summary 2022
In
the first stage of implementation, all activities planned within the project "KLATHRON
- Clathrate hydrates for CCUS" were fulfilled:
Relevant data were collected from the literature,
and they were completed in the existing database within the LATTP research
group.
The first systems were selected to be investigated
both experimentally and by modelling, and isothermal liquid-vapor equilibrium
data, critical curves, and liquid phase densities were determined for two
binary systems for the first time, according to the literature survey
performed.
The experimental setup was completed with a
circulator operating in a wide temperature range and a syringe pump operating
up to a maximum of 690 bar.
The first results were communicated at the
international conferences ESAT 2022 and RICCCE 2022 and were
sent for publication to two renown journals in the field.
